Our Story
“Piccolo Trattoria” means
small, family-owned restaurant.
At the heart and soul of every authentic Italian dish is the spirit of family — a tradition still honored in Italy, and at many of the finest Italian restaurants around the globe. At Piccolo Trattoria, we embrace that spirit with our mission: We Enhance Life. It begins with you, our faithful customer.
All family owned and operated, Piccolo Trattoria offers the perfect balance between a quick-serve pizzeria and a sit-down casual/fine dining experience. The flagship of the Piccolo Trattoria family is our Newtown location, which opened in 2001. Sauces made from scratch, freshly baked breads, and homemade mozzarella are only a few examples of how Piccolo consistently strives to deliver the perfect Italian meal.
Fami founded the restaurants and continues to be heavily involved in daily operations. His underlying passion for the restaurant business and the preparation of Italian food began at the age of 12, when he started working in his first pizzeria.
“While here, you are a member of our family.”
